Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported the first annual 2023 PCoA Summit on Aging held at Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre on May 10, 2023.
The event was a vibrant community gathering that brought together over 200 stakeholders and older adults from Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon. Our keynote speaker, Paul Born, provided a foundation for building an age-friendly community and encouraged connections.
Staff from the Region of Peel and the three municipalities shared their new and ongoing age-friendly initiatives.
At the first Annual General Meeting, the Treasurer provided a financial overview of the PCoA budget and Board of Directors were elected.
The results from the evaluation form will help the event committee plan next year’s event.
The Summit on Aging was an exciting day that promoted community connections, knowledge sharing and advocacy for positive change. Together we can create the vison, “Healthy aging for all in a connected and caring community.
